If anyone has a prize they could donate to the raffle, and/or is willing to cook a chilli or cakes please could they contact us by emailing quiz@nutleyfc.co.uk or calling 07773 281464.

We would love it if the under 14s players could wait on the tables - do we have any volunteers?

It should be a fun evening with the money going to the football club to help pay for 3G hire, new goals, pitch work, etc. So don’t delay … book early to avoid disappointment!

31-Dec-19 - Club adopts anti bullying policy

The Club has recently adopted this anti bullying policy.

31-Dec-19 - Seconds withdrawn from league

I'm afraid that we have been consistently struggling to get players available to put a squad together over the last four to five weeks. The lack of fixtures due to the weather has not helped and the feedback we are getting from the squad is that there are not enough players committed to playing week in week out to continue to run the second team. We have therefore withdrawn the second team from the Division 4 North league.

7-Dec-19 - Pavilion extension

For those of you who have seen the plans displayed in the pavilion you will know the objective is to develop and extend the building. This was initially discussed to improve the football changing rooms and shower system. However after being taken on board by the FGMC the development has been expanded to the whole clubhouse. Planning permission has been granted and tenders have been requested. Initial estimations are that the building costs will be in the region of £200k to £225k . A building project manager has been identified and has accepted the task to coordinate the work. Discussions on grants and fundraising events are taking place and it has been agreed we should use a fund raising company called Red Pencil to help identify potential sponsors and grant opportunities. The football club's contribution to this has been initially discussed at approx. £5,000. Whilst this is a challenging target with support from all associated with the club we feel it is achievable.

Sean Fuller Club Secretary.

28-Nov-19 - Chairman’s Autumn report.

Rain, rain, rain and more rain. Unfortunately this has been the defining feature of the last few weeks and we’ve not been able to get an U14 or senior game on at home for a while. However, there are some bright points to talk about. All teams have at least played four or five games so far this season and seem to be enjoying it. We had a fantastic Saturday when both the firsts and seconds played at home and the sun even shone a bit. Plenty of local support turned out and Giggles very kindly put on some food. The U10s have even managed to play all their pre-Christmas fixtures.

The club has achieved FA Charter Standard which recognises and rewards high quality of levels of provision in club, league and school football. Well done to all who’ve kept up with their youth safeguarding requirements and who have completed first aid courses.

Ben has had the brilliant idea of serving teas, coffees and bacon rolls to raise funds for the pavilion extension and the club. So far this has happened at home U10 matches and has gone down a treat. Hopefully we’ll find volunteers to expand this to home matches for the other teams.

Lots of thanks are due to lots of people. The managers have done a fantastic job organising training and matches. The players are amazing turning out in all conditions and always putting the effort in. The linos have done brilliantly - it can be a stressful jobs sometimes so a big thank you to them. Chubbs is an absolute diamond for looking after the pitch. The supporters (and parents / taxi drivers for the juniors) are unceasingly terrific. And everyone else who helps out in the background putting in the hours to keep the club organised is fabulous. As you all know, the club is entirely staffed by volunteers and is not run for profit. As such the club relies on the fees paid by players and the goodwill of the volunteers to keep going. If anyone has any outstanding fees please pay them via www.paypal.me/nutleyfc.

I’d like to remind you that the club website, nutleyfc.co.uk, is a good place to find information on results, fixtures and news and to do a bit of shopping!

So fingers crossed the rain stops, the sun shines, the wind blows and we dry out and get some games on before Christmas.

Gavin Paisley

20-Nov-19 - Hi all , we are now well into the start of the season with both teams up and running. The first continue in the Championship with a new second team playng in Division 4 North. The first team has seen some new faces in the guise of Jack King and Jamie Warner two talented young players that have been picked up by the new manager Hamish Norris in the close season. Both players bring a high level of quality into the team as well as a useful injection of youth. Other additions include three new players who have joined the squad after moving into the area. Luke Stanley, Morgan Day and Matt Hall. One final addition has seen the younger brother of Jack “the terminator” Roberts brother Harvey sign, All the additions are very welcome and we wish them a great footballing experience at the club.
The second team has been arranged by a young Nutley old boy … Redding Barnes, who has gathered together a very promising squad of young and talented players. After the first few games it is evident to see that the squad has the capability of doing very well in the league it has been assigned too. Results have not been what they should but if the squad stays together and committed to each other then the results are sure to come. Sean Fuller Club Secretary.
